Welcome to Sunbrook
Academy at Governors Towne Club®. Our school is located on
Cedarcrest Road, less than a mile west from Hwy. 41.
We are Lorraine & Mike
Hollstein, the on-site owners. As parents ourselves; we have experienced
the same concern that many of you have…how do I find the right school
for my child? Selecting that right school is one of the most important
decisions, families make. We hope to be able to provide you with the
information to help you make the best choice. We believe Sunbrook
Academy is the school you are looking for and is your best choice!
For the past
3 years I have worked for Cobb County GA school systems. Prior to
coming to GA, I worked in the Princeton Jct. NJ school district, working
with young children and their families. I have extensive experience
teaching children with special needs. Working side by side with my
teachers and management , we together wish to create a loving,
nurturing atmosphere full of fun and exciting learning experiences for
your child.
Mike and I believe your child deserves to be
happy, to be loved, and to feel special. Our Sunbrook Academy programs
provide those feelings in a child by developing his or her self-esteem,
confidence, and a love of learning. To accomplish this, our school
provides activities that focus on the social, emotional, cognitive, and
physical development of each child. Children are encouraged to progress
at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities.
Areas of growth and development are highlighted and brought to life in
appropriate and attainable ways by quality, experienced teachers
implementing our curriculum and following our policies and procedures.
Mike and I feel communication with parents is
essential in building trust and security. We will provide you with
daily activity reports, periodic progress reports, newsletters, parent
information boards, special events, and the opportunity, at all times,
to talk to us . |

The Daily Lesson Plans reflect these areas of
growth and are based on Sunbrook Academy’s own age appropriate
curriculum, “Foundations”, which was developed through many years of
experience in working with young children. “Foundations” meets the needs
of the "whole" child. Young children grow and learn best when they
are in a positive, nurturing environment.
With that in mind, our
program was designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual, and
physical development of your child from six weeks through 12 years of
age, in just such an environment. A typical day includes academics,
music, science, foreign language, computers, art, supervised play,
special events, community helpers, and after school activities.
Sunbrook Academy’s warm,
loving atmosphere includes a year round program from 6:30 a.m. to 7
p.m., Monday through Friday. We look forward to meeting you and having
the opportunity to foster a long-term love of learning for your child,
by providing them the safe and happy school experience they deserve!

provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for young children.
Separate, fenced, age appropriate playgrounds challenge and delight your
child at every age. State-of-the-art computer labs and classroom
equipment for all age groups are integrated into the daily schedule to
enhance your child’s exploration and enjoyment. Our babies are rocked,
held and spoken to while soft music plays in the background. They are
introduced to our age appropriate curriculum, as well. Mike and I feel
learning and feeling loved starts before birth.
